Strong answers follow a clear narrative: business question, data sources, methodology, key findings, and measurable impact (revenue saved, decisions influenced, processes improved). Look for evidence that the analysis drove real action, not just a report that sat on a shelf.
Establishes the candidate's analytical maturity. Do they think in terms of business impact or just technical output? Can they explain their work to a non-technical audience?
