Account data (companies): email address, password (hashed), company name, contact name, phone number, company description, city, postcode, website URL.

Account data (candidates): email address, password (hashed), full name, phone number, location, headline, skills, LinkedIn URL, website URL, CV (uploaded PDF).

Application data: cover letter text, the date you applied, and which job you applied to.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We collect this through server logs for security and operational purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the Site and its features
To create and manage your account
To process job applications (sharing your profile and CV with the company you applied to)
To send email verification messages
To ensure the security and integrity of the Site

We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

Contract: processing necessary to provide the services you signed up for (account management, job applications)
Legitimate interests: security monitoring, fraud prevention, and improving the Site

Your data is stored on servers located within the European Economic Area. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt). CVs are stored with randomised filenames and are only accessible to you and to companies whose jobs you have applied to.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer.

Application data is retained for 12 months after the associated job listing expires, after which it is automatically deleted.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Rectification: request correction of inaccurate personal data
Erasure: request deletion of your personal data
Restriction: request that we restrict processing of your data
Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests
